Equine therapy

Sometimes it’s the horse that whispers.

When it comes to rehabilitation, there are many ways forward. For some, Equine Therapy makes all the difference.

Our Equine Therapy program encourages Mates to interact and engage with horses to build trust, confidence, improve psychological wellbeing and enhance social skills. Already, many Mates and their partners have benefited from our equine-assisted therapy program, which surprisingly involves no horse riding, but can produce life-changing results.

Equine Therapy is a six-day program located on rural properties, offered at no cost to eligible Mates, and is delivered by trained health professionals. The program focuses on the therapeutic bond between horses and people in re-building trust and has been proven to be highly therapeutic for those experiencing anxiety, depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other emotional challenges.

Through hands-on horsemanship skills, the program teaches transferable skills in empathy, body language, emotional regulation, patience and communication. We offer the program to both individuals and couples, in a number of locations across Australia. To find out more about our Equine Therapy program, call us or view our upcoming programs.

The program was mind-blowing and life changing, beyond all expectations and I am still getting increased awareness even now that I am back at home...

Equine therapy changed my life and I would love to encourage others to try it.
