Social connection activities

Engaging social activities provide opportunities for meaningful connections with other veterans and families.

Our social connection activities help bring veterans and families together with a community that understands, helping to build mateship and connection.

We create regular opportunities throughout the week, and on weekends, for mateship and peer-support through social, recreational, and family activities, including weekly BBQs and coffee catch ups, creative art workshops, cooking groups, health and fitness-related activities, Mates4Mates school holiday programs and more.

Our social connection activities are suitable for not only the veteran, but Defence families and partners too.

To find out more about Mates4Mates social connection activities happening near you, take a look at our events calendar.

Mates4Mates has helped me to stay social. It gives me a reason to get out of the house and stay active while maintaining friendships.
