If you have a physical injury or are struggling with your mental health as a result of your service, we’re here to help.

Every day, people turn to Mates4Mates for help. We provide a way forward for all current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members with service-related injuries, and their families. We know that reaching out can be difficult, which is why we’ve made it as easy as possible. The earlier you get help for an injury or mental illness, the better. There is hope. 

If you would like to find out more about joining Mates4Mates, fill out a new client form and we’ll be in touch. Find useful information about our services, and several resources to help you better understand service-related injuries, including the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues. We also provide guidance and referrals to other organisations who can provide specialised assistance, when required.

We are all hesitant to reach out for fear of judgement, not being heard or understood. I could only say that my needs and questions have been met with compassion and kindness. Sometimes it takes more than one go to find the right thing/person/organisation that works with you, please don’t give up.

The term ‘Mate’ is used to refer to anyone who has joined Mates4Mates and is accessing our services. We’re here to provide mateship and support - everyone that is a member of Mates4Mates is our mate and can find new mates.

No. We are here for all current and ex-serving ADF members of all ages, ranks and from all areas of service. It doesn’t matter where you served or in what capacity, our only eligibility criteria is that you have a service-related physical or psychological injury.

Eligible current and ex-serving ADF members who have a physical or psychological injury as a result of their service, and their immediate family members, can apply to join Mates4Mates through completing our new client form.
All our services are offered at no-cost to eligible Mates and family members, thanks to the generous support of our community and partners.
