Mates4Mates is excited to announce that the Ipswich Family Recovery Centre will officially open to Mates and family members from Monday, 27 February 2023.

For over 18 months, Mates4Mates liaison officers have been providing dedicated services in the Ipswich region, running an increasing range of activities which have been positively received by the community.

The new Ipswich centre will provide psychological and physical rehabilitation and wellbeing support services with an on-site psychologist, on-site counsellor, and a visiting exercise physiologist, as well as regular social connection activities with a team of on-site liaison officers.

South East Queensland Regional Manager, Laura shared her excitement of Ipswich's Family Recovery Centre opening.

"We are thrilled to continue our commitment to provide a way forward for veterans and family members impacted by service within the Ipswich and surrounding regions," Laura said.

The Ipswich centre, located at Level 1, 260 Brisbane Street in West Ipswich, will allow the Ipswich Defence community to access a range of support services that they may have already been accessing from the Brisbane Family Recovery Centre or the Online Family Recovery Centre.

The Brisbane Family Recovery Centre will continue to provide its usual services, with the two-centre approach ensuring that South East Queensland veterans and Defence Force personnel have access to a wider range of supports.
