Mates4Mates New Year, Healthier You Program

  • Are you a veteran or family member looking to improve your physical and mental health in the new year?
  • Do you want to make the most of your new year motivation?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the New Year, Healthier You Program might be for you!

What is the New Year, Healthier You Program?

The New Year, Healthier You Program aims to help veterans and family members embrace their “New Year, New Me” motivation to improve their health and wellbeing through physical rehabilitation and psychological strategies

Over four weeks, our physical rehabilitation team will introduce participants to a variety of activities, such as group PT, chair yoga, Pilates and more, designed to maintain motivation and build discipline.

Then, with the support of our mental health team, they will learn psychological principles to help channel this motivation into lasting positive change

Please note:

  • Participating in this program means that you are expected to attend all sessions.
  • There is a minimum number of participants required for facilitation of this program. The program may be cancelled if the minimum number is not met.

Submit your expression of interest below.

Expressions of interest close Friday, 30 January 2026,
however, expressions of interest may close sooner if a large volume of applications are received. It is therefore recommended that expressions of interest are submitted as soon as possible.

Places in the program are dependent on meeting the selection criteria. Please note submitting an expression of interest does not automatically qualify an applicant for the next step in the selection process for this program.

Places in the program are available to veterans who have completed the Mates4Mates new client form. If you have not submitted this form and would like to take part, simply fill out the new client form online and our team will be in touch soon.

If you are interested in upcoming programs, please don't hesitate to contact programs@mates4mates.org.

To ensure that participants for the program are selected fairly, all EOI submissions will be assessed individually to identify which participants have met the requirements of the EOI and are most suitable to attend the program.

Please note, we are unable to keep EOIs on file as a waitlist for future programs. All programs require individual EOIs to be submitted.

If you selected no because you have not accessed Mates4Mates services before and would like to take part, simply complete the Mates4Mates new client form online and our team will be in touch soon.

Please note: dependent on the program you are applying for, a clinician may ask you during the screening about the possibility of you obtaining a referral for the program. While a referral is not a requirement to participate in the program, it is recommended.
