The Mates4Mates Community Connections Program aims to support veterans impacted by service to connect with their local communities through shared interests and activities, helping them to find their place in the civilian world.
Our upcoming program in Darwin with the Alliance Francaise de Darwin will see participants undertake a series of introductory French lessons, providing them with the opportunity to not only learn a new language and hobby, but join a community who holds regular social events.
This program will run over 5 weeks and is available to inducted Mates4Mates members. You must complete an expression of interest (EOI) to ensure the program is suitable for you.
Please note that all sessions are required to be attended by participants.

Places in the program are available to veterans registered with Mates4Mates. If you’re not a Mates4Mates member and would like to take part, simply complete the Mates4Mates new client form online and our team will be in touch soon.

This program is funded by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) as part of the Veteran and Wellbeing Grant Program. As part of this program’s requirements, participants will be requested to complete evaluation surveys throughout the program, inclusive of a 3-month follow-up survey.
