Four-Day Wellness - Townsville
Are you a veteran looking to improve your health and wellbeing? Join us for our next Four-Day Wellness Program in Townsville.
Take the time over four days to invest in yourself alongside other veterans. The Four-Day Wellness Program has been designed to help veterans deal with the post-service challenges that they may be facing, in a non-judgemental and inclusive environment.
Each program is run by a friendly team of Mates4Mates psychologists, counsellors, social workers and exercise physiologists, dedicated to helping you get the most out of the group workshops across the four days.
Please note that this Four-Day Wellness Program is a non-residential, day program at The Oasis Townsville and accommodation won’t be provided.
The group workshops will cover topics such as:
- PTSD
- Relationships and communication
- The challenge of transition from the ADF
- Pain management
- Physical activities
- Mindfulness and relaxation
Our team will work with you to develop healthy coping mechanisms that can support you in managing your mental and physical health now and into the future.
Please note that we will not be accepting interstate applications.
Veterans who are interested in attending this Four-Day Wellness Program will need to undertake an expression of interest (EOI) process. This EOI includes a clinical screening to ensure this program is suitable for you.

Expressions of interest will close Friday, 3 May 2024, however, expressions of interest may close sooner if a large volume of applications are received. It is therefore recommended that expressions of interest are submitted as soon as possible.
Places in the program are dependent on meeting the selection criteria. Please note submitting an expression of interest does not automatically qualify an applicant for the next step in the selection process for this program.
Places in the program are available to veterans who are registered with Mates4Mates.
