With COVID-19 restrictions starting to ease, comes the opportunity to reopen our Family Recovery Centres in Townsville, Brisbane and Hobart to Mates, and hold a number of small-group activities in outdoor settings in all locations where social distancing can be followed.

Key dates:

Wednesday, June 3 – Outdoor activities launch in Brisbane, Townsville and Hobart for a maximum of 20 people.

Monday, June 8 – Psychology appointments available face-to-face again at Brisbane and Townsville Family Recovery Centre. Telehealth will continue to be available as an option, including within Tasmania.

The Townsville, Brisbane and Hobart Family Recovery Centres are only open to those who have an appointment, including to use the gym.

Anyone who visits the Family Recovery Centre or attends an outdoor activity will be required to follow social distancing guidelines of 1.5m, maintain good hand hygiene, complete a health declaration, and follow instructions provided to you. We ask that anyone who is vulnerable, unwell or displaying flu-like symptoms remain at home for the safety of all Mates and staff members.

All outdoor activities will be limited to a maximum of 20 people (including staff).

If you’re a Mate and would like to attend, register for an activity or book an appointment, please call 1300 4 MATES.

In addition to small-group outdoor activities, we will continue to have a number of activities online, including Pilates, Yoga and PT, and telehealth appointments are still available.
