Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centres in Darwin and Palmerston
Whether you need a coffee and a chat, access to support and rehabilitation services, or you want to meet others who understand what you’re going through, you’re welcome at Mates4Mates.
Mates4Mates was appointed by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs to deliver the Northern Territory Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centre.
In early 2022, Mates4Mates were delighted to announce that we are moving forward with two sites for the Northern Territory Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centres – one in Stuart Park and one in Palmerston. Our new Stuart Park site will be located at 39 Stuart Highway and we are currently in the process of appointing the building contractor.
We will be partnering with local ex-service organisations and stakeholders to deliver services including psychological support, physical rehabilitation and wellbeing programs, along with employment, transition and housing programs, and advocacy support.
In Palmerston, the current centre will continue to look after and support current and ex-serving Defence Force members who have been impacted by service, and their families until a permanent site can be secured.
To access our centre, all current and ex-serving ADF members and their families will need to complete our new client form. To access our telehealth psychologist and exercise physiologist appointments, a referral will be required. The centre is open from 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
