Mates4Mates Diabetes Education Workshop

Are you a veteran or family member who wants to improve the way you self-manage your diabetes? 

Then the Diabetes Education Workshop may be for you. 

What is the Diabetes Education Workshop? 

The Diabetes Education Workshop is designed by our exercise physiologists to help veterans and family members increase their confidence to self-manage their diabetes by learning about exercise, medication and dietary treatment strategies. 

This group workshop will provide participants who are living with diabetes the knowledge to increase their awareness and understanding of diabetes and the benefits of lifestyle management to improve health outcomes. 

Upcoming Programs 

Townsville 

This workshop will run in person at Mates4Mates Townsville located within the RSL Queensland Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre in Townsville on Monday, 15 July from 9:00am to 11:00am. 
 
Brisbane 

This workshop will run in person at Mates4Mates Brisbane located within the RSL Queensland Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre in Stafford on Monday, 15 July from 9:00am to 11:00am. 

Veterans and family members who are interested in participating in the Diabetes Education Workshop will need to undertake an expression of interest (EOI) process. This EOI includes a clinical screening to ensure this program is suitable for you.
