Mates4Mates Online Music Therapy Program

  • Are you a veteran or family member looking to manage and improve their mental health?
  • Are you looking to harness the power of music?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then our Online Music Therapy Program may be for you!

What is the Online Music Therapy Program?

The Online Music Therapy Program has been designed to help veterans and their family members explore a different therapeutic approach to assist in enhancing their physical, social and emotional wellbeing.

Running for four weeks in a safe, online group environment, the program aims to create social connectedness and provide an opportunity for shared understanding and learning among participants.

The long-term skills learnt in this group program may assist participants who present with heightened anxiety, PTSD, depression, and past trauma and grief.

No musical experience is needed! We will be teaching you everything you need to know as we explore common mental health challenges and the therapeutic effects of music.

To participate, you will need:

  • PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone with video calling capabilities
  • Internet connection capable of sustaining an online video call

Upcoming Programs

Our next program will run online every Tuesday, starting 9 April to 30 April 2024, from 10:30am to 11:30am (AEST)

Veterans who are interested in participating in the Online Music Therapy Program will need to undertake an expression of interest (EOI) process. This EOI includes a clinical screening to ensure this program is suitable for you.

Expressions of interest for this program have now closed. If you are interested in upcoming programs, please don't hesitate to contact programs@mates4mates.org.

Places in the program are available to veterans registered with Mates4Mates. If you are not an inducted Mates4Mates member and would like to take part, simply complete the Mates4Mates new client form online and our team will be in touch soon.
